Privacy

This site offers optional Google Analytics to understand readership. Analytics loads only after you accept it. We do not run advertising scripts. There is no account system, no newsletter and no form that collects personal data.

What is processed

Pages are served through Cloudflare, which processes request data (IP address, user agent, requested URL) to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. That processing is technical and necessary for the service; logs are retained by Cloudflare under their privacy policy. We also retain aggregate daily counts of recognised crawler user-agent requests and visits referred by AI services for up to 90 days. These counts store page paths and service names, not visitor IP addresses, full user agents or referral query strings. A claimed crawler name is not proof of identity, and a referral is not proof of citation. We do not build visitor profiles or sell this data.

Reactions and sharing

When you mark an article useful, we store a random, signed browser cookie for up to 180 days to remember and undo your reactions. Votes are stored against a pseudonymous identifier. Clearing cookies can remove your ability to undo earlier votes. To limit abuse, we retain daily keyed hashes of network addresses and request counts for up to three days; raw addresses are not stored in this reaction database. Sharing buttons open the service you choose, whose privacy policy then applies. With analytics consent, we measure sharing-button clicks and reactions; a click does not establish that a post was published.

Outbound links

Links to original sources and to the publisher's own projects lead to sites with their own privacy practices. Links to the publisher's projects carry a campaign parameter so the publisher can see how many readers followed them; it identifies the source page, not you.
